Chaque Jeudi: July 11

I’m not sure what the context of this 1980 cover of Hergé with live-action Tintin and drawn Snowy is. I don’t THINK Tintin looks like the same actor as was in any of the old movies…Any clues anybody?

Journal de TINTIN édition Belge N° 11 du 11 Mars 1980

The fact that Tintin is taller than Hergé is strange. I guess kids do grow taller than their parents…

If I remember correctly, this was just some guy who visited the Studios Hergé dressed as Tintin. Because Hergé and the people there enjoyed that so much, they took a picture of him and later placed it, namelessly, on the cover of the magazine.
I can’t think of where I read this, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Sounds good. While it’d be cool to find a source to back that up, that’s more info then I expected to get. Thanks!

It says Hergé is talking about “the reception of a Tintin in flesh and blood”
