Rumours, Tintin Movie Trailers

Tintin teaser trailer to be revealed before Kung fu Panda 2?

According to ”The Film Stage” on Twitter, there’s a good chance that the Tintin teaser trailer will come out before the premiere of Dreamwork’s Kung Fu Panda 2. If Dreamworks was still a part of the making of Tintin, I would expect it to come out with it. It could be Kung Fu Panda 2, or perhaps it will come out with another movie coming out around the same time. Panda 2 would be a good choice if the teaser trailer is in 3D.

Kung Fu Panda 2 hits theaters this month, May 26th. So if the source is correct, we could have very little time to wait. With the recent advertisement in France and the film festival going on, it wouldn’t surprise me to find some kind of a trailer out very soon.

Thanks Paul for finding this info! I can hardly wait to see something in motion soon!

Just a word of caution to all you fellow Tintin fans who are dying to see a trailer…as important as it is, it is still only a trailer. It will only reveal a certain amount of content from the film and being a teaser trailer, we shouldn’t expect much. We are hence bound to take every last detail revealed and analyze it over and over until the next time stuff is revealed. I’ll admit that is all really great fun and all that. Go ahead! But let’s do our best to remember that there are and will be differences between the film and the albums. If we must over analyze (and we’re all dying to,right?) let’s not do it to subconsciously pick on the material and bring out every flaw from Tintin’s hair to Snowy’s paw. Be positive and enjoy the long awaited trailer!

Kung Fu Panda 2 makes perfect sense. We knew Tintin would have a 3D teaser and Kung Fu Panda 2 seems like a perfect launching pad.

My previous comment is awaiting moderation since it contains a link but since I don’t want to wait you can find the official international site for tintin here

Ah, come on, the first Panda wasn’t bad 🙂 .

But I agree, the way to experience the Tintin trailer is definitely in the theaters.

kung fu panda 2 would be a great choice. they need to start taking advantage of the summer flicks coming out and start releasing them in front of them.

I don’t suppose there’s any chance it could be attached to Pirates 4, is there? That one’s also in 3D but since it’s a Dinsney release the only real connection would be Michael Kahn, the editor.

I’m really looking forward to this now… We’ll finally see if the hard work of Spielberg and Jackson, along with all the others, has paid off.

Oh boy, am I getting psyched!

And on that website that Proman listed (the apparently official one), the release date isn’t listed!? And why is it a .net domain rather than .com? Surely Paramount can afford a .com!

I’ve been going through the archives of this site, and have been reading just about every post since May 2007. It’s really wonderful to see how far it’s come since then. Now we’re on the home stretch, where we are about to finally get the film that we’ve been talking about for all those years. But while I think about it, what will become of this site once the movie is out? Will it go on to talk about the stages of the next Tintin movie? I hope so. As a person who’s been here from the very beginning, I am really proud to be a part of this community of Tintin fans and look forward to seeing where it will go next.

I agree with Mike 100%. It’s been a pleasure talking to all of you guys and I know that once the movie’s out the community is only going to grow.

In regards to the whole, .net vs .com issue, it’s important to keep in mind that the site I’ve posted is the International (read: non-US/Canada) one. This is why you are not seeing US dates. I believe the movie is actually being handled by a different distributor (Paramount?) in US so the us site is likely to be a bit different and is likely to be a .com .

Sorry, I forgot to put the UK release date, as I’m British

I guess they might be using .net as it’s international, but I always thought .com was more of an international standard. Oh well.
