Belgian Centre for Comic Strip Art

The Belgian Centre for Comic Strip Art is museum celebrating the huge success of Belgian comics such as Tintin and The Smurfs as well as less well known comics.

Recently Kostas from the German site Greek Geek visited the museum and sent us a video of what is inside the museum.

I’ve been considering a trip to Brussels for a while and the museum is one of things I really want to see. So thank you Kostas, I’m now really keen to go.

I presume that the Tintin chocolate tin with the frame from the Golden Claws doesn’t have the same contents as Tintin’s tin ;-)

I would really like to get more into Franco-Belgian comics. The Blake and Mortimer books are beingpublished in English, and I want to read more of those (read 1). Nice video.

    Pe-ads,

Exactly the same thing crossed my minds when I saw the chocolates.

I went to Brussel’s last summer, and was right outside this museum! However,I made the enormous mistake of coming on a Monday, and though I could see the statue of the rocket from outside,I couldn’t go inside because it was closed. It probably sounds like a pretty silly mistake, but I just wanted to warn you so you don’t make the same mistake I did.:-(
Instead,I visited Stockel Station. If you have not seen that yet you really should visit it when you go to Brussels. It is quite impressive.
